Day 135 - February 13, 2013: Move to Bahia Mar and Fort Lauderdale Beach
We decided to stay in Fort Lauderdale, but move over to Bahia Mar Marina which is near the ocean. This would give us a chance to see what so many young people go to experience during spring break! The welcoming sign on the beach is decorated entirely with empty water bottles.

Fort Lauderdale Beach |
There were wind gusts up to 20 mph, and the beaches were not very full. However, I'll bet in another month, you'll not be able to find a square foot of sand to put your blanket on!

Our feet in the Atlantic waters |
We spent some time bike riding along the waterfront and then took the dinghy up into the many canals along the ICW. The homes are spectacular, and there is frequently a boat parked in front of each house. The length of the boat seems only limited by the width of the lot.
As the sun set, we returned to Great Laker for the evening. Our dinghy has provided us such freedom to explore, and we wouldn't be without it.
