Day 225 - June 7, 2013: Retreat to Poughkeepsie, NY

Our plan was to go on to Kingston to meet Heather, Scott and grandson Connor, who are coming up from Pennsylvania for the weekend. However, they could not find lodging there due to a large community weekend event, so we decided to go back downstream seven miles and meet them in Poughkeepsie. It was raining at noon as we departed, raining when we docked at Shadows Marina, and raining as we retired for the night. We are hoping for better weather tomorrow when they arrive.

Our afternoon was relaxing, and I updated all the boating logs while Anne handled some business from home. Then we did some forward planning, especially for our Canadian travel. We have found these "down" days are a good time to re-energize and get prepared to continue our cruise.
