Day 155 - March 5, 2013: A day of preparation and relaxation
Sometimes it is good just to relax and rejuvenate.
Today was a chance to sit back free from the normal cruising pattern. We turned our attention to preparing to go back to Michigan early on Thursday morning. This included getting transportation to the airport for a 6:00 AM flight, three loads of laundry, and ensuring the boat was ready to be left alone for almost two weeks. Then, we had some time to read and relax.
This was the nicest weather in over a week, and the Ortega River was calm as it flowed into the St. John's River.

I frequently enjoy walking the docks to see what kind of boats are at the marina. This time I focused on trawlers, and there were quite a few, from rather tired to very well heeled.

The "unknown" was something I have no idea about. The Mainship aft-cabin was well outfitted and looked like new. The Grand Banks is a classic, and this one was meticulous, especially the brightwork of the transom. The Selene is capable of blue water cruising, and this one could easily go anywhere in the world you would want. Even so, after looking, I was still quite happy to come back to our Great Laker.
